TV Tank at Deitch Projects, 78 Grand St. Oct 24 - Nov 28 '98

A petroleum trailer tank has been transformed into a set of floating modules designed for lounging and watching television. The 35 foot aluminum tank was sliced into eight rings, each module then retrofitted with a liner of rubber tubing and a 13 inch color television equipped with cable and remote control. Viewers may occupy the once-hidden interior of the oil tank, now animated by the flicker of television light.

LOT/EK is a partnership of Ada Tolla and Giuseppe Lignano, 1989 graduates of the Facolta di Architettura at the University of Naples. They are now living and working in New York.
