mothertongues "After discovering a perfectly intact hand-built raft abandoned on the beach of central Florida in 1995, the artist embarked on a process of searching for answers about the travellers and the objects that they built for transportation. These objects conjure thoughts about distance and about similarities between people who possess different mother tongues and how dialogue can occur in the most impossible and intangible of situations."
